As a recent graduate of Pinkerton Academy in Derry NH Zach Sanford sat through a graduation ceremony where he and his fellow graduates were surely advised to follow their dreams.  Zach took a big step toward his dream when the National Hockey League's Washington Capitals selected him 61st overall in the annual NHL draft.  The IHC forward willl attend Boston College in the fall of 2014 after another year of honing his skills in junior hockey.  The entire Islanders hockey community congratulates Zach and his family on this honor and achievement.
