Late in the game the U16 Islanders received a power play with a chance to take the
lead. Matt Brock, set up at the top of the PP hit a one timer from Ricky
Carballo and Connor Dempsey beating the Yankee goalie clean to take the lead in
a great back and forth game.
Just Minutes later Connor Dempsey put the
finishing touches on the 5-3 win scoring a nice back door goal from Justin
Arnold and Ricky Carballo. Braden King, Rickey Carballo and Alec Johnson started
the scoring for the Islanders while Alex Fricker, Richard Hordon, Evan Maione
and Anthony Lange added Assists. Justin Gray played great in net, making bigs
saves throughout the game to allow his teammates a chance to win.
The Islanders U16 teams heads to the Bog
on Saturday to face the Breakers in a USPHL League game @ 6pm.
