The Islanders Hockey Club, back to back Founders Cup Champions, are proud to announce Justin Marler has signed a tender for the 2017-18 season.  The 6'3/220 right shot defender hails from Naples, FL and is the Captain at Deerfield.  Justin has played in 73 games while at Deerfield, posting a 9-17-26 line in those games.  He was a huge reason Deerfield won the Flood Maar title this past season and was named to the Flood Maar All Tournament Team for his efforts.  An even bigger nod was given this past week by the coaches he goes up against all season long.  Justin was named to the 2017 All New England Team "2nd Team West" by the NEPSIHA.

"Justin is a perfect fit for us and we are excited to welcome him to the Islanders family," commented GM/Head Coach Sean Tremblay.  "He is a strong skater who makes a great first pass and defends well.  We will make him even better with how we teach our defensemen to play, but the one thing we can't teach is his size.  A player with his size who can skate that well will be certainly be fun to work with and develop into a Division One defensemen.  Add to all of that he is an outstanding student and citizen and we just hit a homerun with Justin."
