North Andover, MA – The Islanders Hockey Club is proud to announce that Premier Defenseman Nick Wardstrom has officially committed to the Suffolk University Rams Hockey Program for the fall of 2018.

In his three years with IHC moving up from the Empire, Elite then to Premier he has appeared to date in 79 Games, scoring 6 goals while picking up 20 assists for 26 PTS. “He’s one of the hardest working players that I have ever coached he’s developed into a solid reliable defenseman who eats up a ton of minutes and is outstanding on the Penalty Kill.” Said Head Coach Tim Kyrkostas

”We are very excited about having Nick join our defense next year. I have been very impressed by his leadership with the IHC over the last few seasons we are hoping that will translate over to our team next year.” Said Suffolk Head Coach Chris Glionna

“Playing for the Islanders Hockey Club over these previous three years has helped me develop as a player and a person. I can’t thank everyone enough my time here has ultimately helped me achieve my goal of playing NCAA College Hockey. I would like to thank Coach Tim Kyrkostas, Coach Peter Wallack and Coach Brian Umansky for helping me achieve my dream.”

The Islanders Hockey Club would like to congratulate and wish Nick and his family the best of luck with his collegiate career.
