INFORMATION

The Islanders, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization chartered in 1995, is one of the premier development and competitive hockey programs in New England having over 750 players competing in United States Premier Hockey League ("USPHL") for its NCDC, Premier, Elite, and Midget divisions and the Eastern Hockey Federation (“EHF”) for the youth teams and the N.E. Woman’s Hockey League. The Islanders have state of the art facility at Merrimack College for its Premier and Elite division teams as well facilities at Skate 3 in Tyngsboro for its NCDC and Midget division teams.

The Islanders and its USPHL partners have each developed a complete player development model where, at present, over 2,000 boys and girls train, compete and enjoy the sport of ice hockey. The USPHL provided the next step in high performance training and competition and provided unmatched exposure to NCAA hockey programs for young aspiring hockey players.

The Islanders program provides a complete player development model from cradle to college for young players which goes beyond the on ice experience to include education, leadership and community service components to help foster a complete student athlete.  We expect our players to understand the words responsibility, commitment and achievement. We prepare our players for the long-term future as productive citizens while constantly reminding them to give the game of hockey its due respect for lessons learned.
