Sean Tremblay Joins Islander Hockey Club (formerly the New England Huskies)

Sean Tremblay Co-Director of Junior Hockey Operations

The Islander Hockey Club (“Islanders”) is pleased to announce that Sean Tremblay has joined the staff of the Islanders in the role of Co-Director of Junior Hockey Operations and Head Coach of its Eastern Junior Hockey Team as part of the Club's continued commitment to the growth and the development of talented young student athletes. Coach Tremblay along with Co-Director Paul Jenkins will be key components to the Islanders commitment to having the premier hockey organization in New England.
 
Over the past ten years, Coach Tremblay has guided the New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs to nine EJHL Championship Series – and won six Dineen Cups. Recently, Coach Tremblay was named “one of the fifty most influential people in hockey in New England” by the New England Hockey Journal. He was also honored as 'Junior Coach of the Year' by Hockey Night in Boston in 2002, 2004, and 2006. Coach Tremblay guided the USA Select 16 Team to two gold medals as an assistant in 2006 and as head coach in 2010. Last summer, he and Coach Jenkins brought a team of EJHL All-Stars to play in the Junior World Cup in Omsk, Russia. 
 
Richard Gallant, Program Director of the Islanders, stated "We are excited to have Sean join our organization. Sean's vast knowledge and tremendous experience will be paramount in the Islander's achieving the next level of success. The combination of Sean and Paul working together for the Islanders will be second to none in Junior Hockey."
 
The Islanders is one of the premier development and competitive hockey programs in New England having over 750 players competing in all 5 Premier New England Hockey Leagues – the Eastern Junior (“EJ”), Empire and ESHL Junior Hockey Leagues and the Eastern Hockey Federation (“EHF”) and the N.E. Woman’s Hockey League for the youth teams. The Islanders provide a complete player development model from cradle to college for young players which goes beyond the on ice experience to include education, leadership and community service components to help foster a complete student athlete. The Islanders have a new state of the art facility at Skate 3 in Tyngsboro for it Junior Teams and is expanding its presence at Merrimack College with the construction of a new rink for its Youth Teams.
