Tom Conlin stonewalled the Valley Warriors leading the New England Huskies to a 4-0 victory in Haverhill, MA. Conlin Stopped all 27 shots he faced in earning his second win of the season.
The Huskies scored in a first period burst to jump out to a 2-0 lead. Grant Garvin banged home a Storm Adams rebound at 16:45 for a 1-0 lead. Then one minute later Ian McGilvrey finished off a Zak Kokosa rush up the left side to make it 2-0. The Huskies outshot Valley 13-8 in the first.
Kokosa scored his first of the year seven minutes into the second stanza with assists to line-mates Jordan Cosby and McGilvrey. Conlin made seven stops in the period while Noah Klag stopped 10 shots in the second period.
Jordan Robertson netted the fourth Huskies tally on a break away at the 15:06 mark of the third period. Staked to a 4-0 lead Conlin shut the door on Valley saving all twelve Valley scoring attempts in the third.
The Huskies are back in action Saturday and Sunday hosting a two game set with CD Selects at Skate 3 Arena.
