It was a fitting way to end a difficult and 'off' year for the Huskies by battling back from a 6-3 deficit and earn an 8-7 OT win at Skate 3 sunday afternoon. The offensive hot hand for the game (and weekend and month) belonged to the forward line of Sean Sullivan, Huck Saunders and Matt Lemire. The trio accounted for 13 points in yesterday's affair led by Sullivan's hat trick and 3 assists.

The Huskies broke through on the first shift of the game when Chris Cyr unleashed a bomb crossing the blueline on the left wing just 27 seconds into the game. After Philly tied the game, Saunders potted a power play goal at 6:23 for a 2-1 lead. But Philly unloaded for 3 goals to close out the first period with a 4-2 lead. Sullivan scored his first to make it 4-3 at the 12:50 mark, but Philly responded with 2 quick scores within 2 minutes for a 6-3 lead.

Lemire let goal a heavy wrist shot from the right circle for the Huskies 2nd PP goal at 6:52 and former Revs player Kyle Schultz added a backhand 40 seconds later. The score was 6-5 at the second intermission.

Defensive player of the week Whitney Olsen snuck down the weakside and received a Saunders and Sullivan feed to punch in the tie goal at 16:40 on the power play. The Huskies surged ahead with 6 minutes remaining in the game when Sullivan finished a beatiful line rush with Saunders and Lemire. The game appeared out of reach but a series of defensive zone misfires allowed Philly extra chances to tie and they did with just 52 seconds left in the game. This set the table for the game's first star to take a Lemire and Olsen relay to break in alone. A backhand deke netted the winning goal and closed the chapter on the 09-10 season. Nico Candelmo earned the win between the pipes.
