Despite outshooting their last 4 opponents by a considerable margin in each respective game the Huskies have been unable to crack the win column. A timely goal would make all the difference. "I am very happy with the effort and execution of the club. We're just in a position where our lack of scoring touch makes defensive mistakes look paramount," surmised Head Coach Paul Jenkins.

Wing Huck Saunders got the Huskies on the board at 17:40 showing poise around the net in traffic. John Celli and Steve Ginand picked up assists.

With the Huskies on the power play a defensive blue line gaffe sent the Kings Charlie Coyle in alone on a breakaway where he buried it for a 1-1 game. On the same PP just 10 seconds later Sean Sullivan popped in the Huskies second goal. Assists went to Brendan McCarron and Tom-Patric Kimmel.

The Kings notched two goals in the second period to forge a 3-2 lead after two periods. The lead held up through an onslaught of pressure by the Huskies throughout the third period as the Huskies recorded 14 shots in the third period.

Game Notes: Nick Gawron and Whitney Olsen were strong on the backline for the Huskies. Goalie Mike Reed made his debut to start the third period and stopped all 7 shots he faced.
