The final regular season game between the Jr. Bruins and Islanders was a carbon copy of match #3 epic battle, right down to the shot taken to win the shootout.

With IHC defenseman Derek Stahl in the box for tripping, Bruin defenseman Connor Doherty tied the game at 2-2 late in the third period with a shot from the left point.  Goals by Brendan Robbins and Dakota Ford overcame a 1-0 Bruins lead before Doherty tied matters on the power play.  The overtime period offered no resolution thus forcing a Shootout.  Mirroring the clubs’ previous game just 3 days earlier, the shootout went to extra players with Wally Warilla beating IHC goalie Colton Phinney for the extra point victory.  Just as Phinney did days earlier, Bruins goalie Sean Lawrence stopped all four IHC attempts to seal the win.  The game goes into the books as a 3-2 BJB win which evens the season series at 2 wins apiece.  Next on the game agenda is what meteorologists are calling a top ten all-time blizzard.  Weekend games are being monitored and likely postponed.
