North Andover, MA- Islanders Hockey Club forward Vincent
Gisonti (Montreal, QC), has committed to Middlebury College (NESCAC) for the
fall of 2014. A 10/28/1993 birthdate, Gisonti played his Prep Hockey at
Westminster in CT, before suiting up for the Islanders this season, netting three
goals and seven assists for ten points through seventeen games thus far.
Gisonti is extremely excited to join the Panthers next season for the mix of
rigorous academics and high-end collegiate athletics. "My family and I are
very happy to have chosen Middlebury College to continue my education and
hockey career. I had a great sense of comfort on my visit, and I can't wait to
arrive on campus next fall. My family strongly agrees with my decision, and are
happy that it is relatively close to my home in Montreal so they can watch many
of my games."

"Vinny is an excellent two-way player, with his up side being his speed", noted
Islanders assistant Coach Pat Bowen. "He's one of those types of players
that is constantly in your face due to the fact he gets around the ice so well.
His speed creates opportunities for himself as well as his teammates. I'm
excited to see Vinny establish himself as a top player in the USPHL as the
season progresses". Gisonti added "Going to one of the best schools
in the country was a goal of mine when I set out to find a environment that
best suited me on and off the ice. I believe Middlebury can provide me with the
education needed in today's competitive world to be successful".

Vincent is the son of Nick and Antonella Gisonti of Montreal, Quebec.
