Line-mates Ian McGilvrey and Conor Anthoine set up two goals apiece and four different scorers lit the lamp for the Islanders in a 4-1 win over the Monarchs at Hoooksett, NH.
Tyler Whitney jammed in the lone goal of the first period at 14:44. Line-mates Anthoine and McGilvrey assisted.
Zach Sanford tipped a laser past Monarch goalie Nat Jacobsen off a left point shot from Derek Stahl. Ted McCarran also assisted. The Islanders opened the game up with two more goals in the second period. Big D-man Joona Kunnas pound the puck through Jacobsen with 5:40 left in the period. McGilvrey and Anthoine assisted.
Leading scorer Mike Doherty stripped a careless Monarch defenseman at the offensive blue and sped in on Jacobsen beating him with a backhand move to boos the score to 4-0.
Former Islanders forward Kyle Lajuneusse netted the lone Monarch goal midway into the third period to make the final score 4-1.
