DANBURY, Conn. -- University of New England men's ice hockey player Colby Drost has been named as an honorable mention pick on the ECAC East League All-Conference Teams, as the league accolades for 2014-15 were announced Thursday afternoon (Feb. 19). Voting for the season's top awards and all-league teams was conducted by the 10 head coaches. Big Blue's senior netminder posted a 2.29 goals against average and four shutouts during the regular season, while logging a .927 save percentage. Drost backstopped all nine of UNE's victories on the year (9-8-2). Counting only ECAC East games, he ranked third in SV PCT (.932) and fourth in the GAA (2.11). Drost was selected ECAC East Goaltender of the Week five times out of 13 such honors over the course of the season. The Nor'easters (9-13-2), with their highest-ever seed (No. 5) for the league postseason championship, head to fourth-seeded Castleton State College (10-15) in the quarterfinal round on Saturday (7 p.m.).
