Tim Kyrkostas to become new Islander Hockey Club Elite Coach

The Islanders Hockey Club has announced today that legendary coach Paul Jenkins has decided to retire after a 20 plus year coaching career in junior hockey.   The Islanders Hockey Club would like to thank Coach Jenkins for making the Islander Hockey Club (formerly the New England Huskies) the centerpiece of an outstanding coaching career and all that he has done for the game of hockey here in New England.   Paul has mentored, coached and counseled countless young aspiring hockey players to allow them to achieve their ultimate goals spanning from collegiate hockey to the NHL.

The Islander Hockey Club is proud to announce that they have hired Tim Kyrkostas to become their next Elite Team Head Coach for the 2016-2017 season.   Coach Kyrkostas comes to the Islanders from the Palm Beach Hawks program in Lake Worth, FL. where he led the Hawks to a (3) year USPHL record of 70-33-17.  Prior to coaching the Jr Hawks Kyrkostas coached the U-16 & U-18 Florida Alliance AAA teams as well as serving as the skating & skills coach for the Florida Panthers NHL team in 2005-2006.

Coach Kyrkostas played his collegiate hockey at Norwich University where he starred on their 2000 NCAA Division III National Championship Team.    Tim is a well-respected coach in the collegiate coaching ranks and the Islanders Hockey Club is extremely excited to have him join the program.
