Defenseman Nick Wardstrom of the Islanders Hockey Club was selected as a CCM Hockey Showcase Top Prospect as voted on by the coaches and scouts in attendance at the 2016 event in Denver, CO this past weekend.  Each year players from around the world gather in Denver, CO to showcase their talents to all levels of Junior Hockey, College Hockey and Professional Hockey at the #1 scouting and recruiting combine in the U.S.  Wardstrom, who came to the Islanders Hockey Club from the Santa Clara Blackhawks organization in northern California, has worked very hard since joining the IHC becoming one of the captains of the USP3 team, earning some time at the U18 level, and ultimately being permanently named to the Elite level team. Nick looks forward to continuing his career with Junior Hockey and NCAA endeavors under Head Elite coach Tim Kyrkostas.
