North Andover, MA – The Islanders Hockey Club Premier Team sits atop the league after earning points in all of their last 12 games, including winning 11 of them in regulation.  Currently 14-3-1 the team has found its’ identity and is receiving strong play as a team.  Both the power play and penalty killing units have been solid and continue to get better.

Leading the way offensively is Northeastern bound Matt Thomson, Lucas Michaud, Austin Lemieux, and Charlie Borek.  Captain Austin Goldstein is a point-per-game player and young Justin Pearson is finding his way nicely and emerging as a top player who Division One schools have on their ‘must watch’ list.

Defensively the IHC boasts arguably one of the deeper units in the USPHL with high-end skill as well as solid defenders who are honing their defensive skills on a daily basis.  The goaltending has been solid and both Dartmouth recruit Justin Ferguson and Connor Minch have shared duties pushing each other and boasting solid statistics.

The IHC will travel this Sunday to Foxboro, MA for a 1pm tilt with the South Shore Kings before hosting the IHC/USPHL Showcase next week.
