Foxboro, MA – The Islanders Hockey Club made it 14 wins in a row by topping the South Shore Kings 3-2, the game winner coming with just 5-seocnds left in regulation when Justin Pearson popped home his 5th goal in 3 games.  Pearson has scored the game-winning goal in each of those 3 games, and his line including Mark Cheremeta and Daniil Sokolka have emerged as just another threat for opposing teams.

“I am extremely proud of this group of young men as they have come a long way since day 1 and just keep getting better,” commented GM/Head Coach Sean  Tremblay.  “It is hard to win in this league and to see what they have accomplished is inspiring to the staff.  They know when to work and when to have fun and are a pleasure to coach and watch each day.  The camaraderie is amazing within the hockey family we have and they are focused on development each day.”

The Islanders have one of the most potent lines Coach Tremblay has seen and has been dubbed the “TAG” line, referring to the fact they often score “Two A Game”, comprised of Lucas Michaud, Austin Goldstein, and Austin Lemieux.  Follow them up with sniper Matt Thomson, 200ft Charlie Borek and the speed and energy of Mike Falanga and they can just come at you in waves.

The defense and goaltending continue to shine as well.  Justin Ferguson is just one of many great goaltenders Coach Tremblay has seen in his net, but he ranks him up there with the very best he has coached.  UNH recruit Liam Darcy has taken his game to yet another level and has been dominant in this 2-month win streak.

There is still a lot of hockey to be played, but it will go by in the blink of an eye.  This team knows that and cherishes each and every day they have left together.  Their plan is to make it last as long as they possibly can into March!
