IHC Dominate Hitmen Showcase

Outscore opponents 20-4 in 3 league wins

Wayne, NJ – The Islanders Hockey Club improved to 7-1 on the season after taking down the Rochester Monarchs (5-1), New Jersey Rockets (8-3), and PAL Islanders (7-0) at the annual Jersey Hitmen Showcase.  Louis Felix St-Jean stopped 43 of 44 shots including a shutout picking up two wins, and the IHC power play was on fire going 7 for 18 for an impressive .388 %.

UMaine recruit Brent hill was the top goal scorer notching a goal each of the first two games only to follow it up with a hat trick in game three.  Sam Nestor was also a big time player putting up a 2-4-6 line in three games.  The Young Guns – Hunter McCoy, Mark Gallant, and Jonathan Young – all 2000’s all scored in game two showing the future looks bright for the IHC.  Matt Dillon was superb on the blueline and power play dishing out 5 assists on the weekend.

 Up next the Islanders travel to take on the Boston Bandits on Friday and will then walk as an organization on Sunday in Boston for the Walk for Autism.
