IHC's NDCD Premier Team Goalie Ben Nelson heading to Nowich

IHC NCDC Premier Team Goaltender Ben Nelson now set to join the Cadets!

North Andover, MA.  The Islanders Hockey Club are proud to announce that Premier Team goaltender Ben Nelson has left the team to begin his NCAA collegiate career with the defending NCAA Division III National Champions Norwich University Cadets.  
 

Nelson a native of Concord, NH has posted the following impressive statistics over his season and half with the IHC 25-9-1 record GAA 2.14% SV% .910 with 3 shutouts. 

“We are so proud of Ben he’s accomplished his goal of attending Norwich and playing for the Cadets. He’s a wonderful young man who takes pride in working his hardest each and every day. We are going to miss him but we are so thrilled and excited for him and his family” said IHC Premier Team Head Coach Tim Kyrkostas. 

“I would like to start off by thanking the Islanders Hockey Club for helping me reach this goal. My time spent with the Islanders Hockey Club was great. The coaching staffs work extremely hard to help players prepare for college.  The atmosphere is always great. I had a lot of fun playing for the Islanders. 

I am extremely excited to be playing for Norwich University. It’s an honor to play there and be part of such a great program said Nelson.”
