Premier Team Committments Continue to Roll In

North Andover, MA – The Islanders Hockey Club is proud to announce that Premier Forward John Garrity  has officially committed to the Suffolk University Hockey Program for the fall of 2018.

Garrity a native of Dublin, CA has had an outstanding career with the IHC Program.  The 6 Ft 2 195-pound Forward has moved up the ranks over his three years with the IHC moving up from the Empire, Elite then to Premier. Over the last two seasons he’s appeared to date in 79 Games, scoring 29 goals while picking up 46 assists for 75 PTS. “John has had an outstanding career here at the IHC, I just love his all around game. He can score in tight, he sets up goals and he simply hustles and plays hard all 200 feet. He’s really earned everything that he’s gotten thus far and I expect to see him having the same kind of success at the collegiate level.” Said Head Coach Tim Kyrkostas.

“The past three seasons with the Islanders Hockey Club has greatly helped me grow as a hockey player and as a person. I cannot thank Coach Tim Kyrkostas, Coach Peter Wallack and Coach Brian Umansky for helping me along the way over the last three years which has allowed me this opportunity to achieve my goal of playing NCAA college hockey. I am excited to attend this great university and play under coach Gilonna.

The Islanders Hockey Club would like to congratulate and wish John and his family the best of luck with his collegiate career.

This marks the 8th college commitment thus far for the Islanders Premier Hockey Club with a few more expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
